Leander Monbaliu | Pro League - Chief Business Officer & Head of Legal

Leander has been working for the Belgian Pro League since 2014. Started as a lawyer specialised in Sports & Entertainment law, he evolved into his current role as CBO. He was closely involved in the preparation, guidance and negotiation of several of the League's media rights deals, including the recently concluded record-breaking exclusive 5-year partnership with Eleven Sports. Leander is one of the drivers behind Pro League Forward, an ecosystem bundling strategic partnerships of the League, fostering growth and innovation amongst its clubs, expressing the ambition of the Belgian league to become one of the most innovation-driven leagues in Europe. Recently, in addition to the deal with Eleven Sports, the Pro League announced collaboration with WSC Sports, STATSPerform, Sorare and 433, to name just a few.
